BARCELONA 03 November 2025 – Filipina investment and corporate immigration expert Krista Victorio took the spotlight at Barcelona’s largest gathering of international professionals, held recently at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, where she underscored the strength and adaptability of Filipino women in global business on 25 October 2025.
With support from the Philippine Consulate General in Barcelona, Victorio represented the Philippines in a roundtable discussion titled “Female Talents from Asia to Barcelona: Crossing Paths and Sharing Experiences,” organized by the Barcelona City Council in collaboration with Casa Asia.
Victorio, managing partner at Orience, a Barcelona-based global mobility firm specializing in residency and citizenship by investment, advocates for innovation, cross-border collaboration, and women’s leadership. With more than a decade of experience, she oversees client management and partnerships in 14 countries.
The roundtable discussion gathered nearly a hundred participants from Catalonia’s local and international communities for a dialogue on leadership, identity, and integration.
Speaking about her journey as an Asian woman executive, Victorio reflected on empowerment and cultural identity. She noted that Asian women often face gender and cultural stereotypes but emphasized that success should not depend on proving one’s worth because of ethnicity or gender. “We should redefine expectations through our strength and professionalism,” she said.
Victorio also stressed the importance of work-life balance, saying success comes from “balance, adaptability, and empathy rather than perfection.” She cited the resilience, warmth, and adaptability of Filipinos as key assets in building trust and cross-cultural relationships — especially in Spain, where deep historical and cultural ties with the Philippines continue to foster understanding.
“I encouraged newcomers and aspiring entrepreneurs to embrace integration and cultural engagement—to experience and contribute to their host country while bringing a part of their own culture to enrich the community,” Victorio said, adding that Filipinos serve as cultural bridges who strengthen communities through respect and connection.
“I am humbled and honored to have represented the Philippines in a discussion highlighting the strength, creativity, and resilience of Asian women in Barcelona,” she added. “This forum was a reminder of how powerful representation can be, and how our identities and stories can bridge cultures.”
Among the attendees was Mikee Beltran, a Filipino postgraduate student, who said, “Hearing the voices of the women at the roundtable reminded me that our strength as Asian women lies in how we transform difference into connection.”
Consul General Maria Theresa S.M. Lazaro lauded Victorio’s participation, saying it showcased “Filipino leadership, excellence, and adaptability on an international stage.” She added that the involvement of outstanding Filipinos in such platforms reflects the community’s growing role in fostering cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation.
